This morning, Yahoo! Finance featured a video entitled ‘Web Stars Rule Ad World.‘ The FOX Business News clip highlighted a company called Hitviews and their ability to generate video views by using ‘web stars.’
About the Company:
Hitviews is an online entertainment marketplace that places your brand’s message inside videos created by the Web’s most watched stars. Moments after a video with your message is posted, hundreds of thousands of potential customers see it. Your customers engage with the message by watching, writing comments, asking questions, even producing their own video responses.
However, when you dig deeper into the company and their campaigns, it looks like their reach is not that signficant.

While it’s great that the company has been able to deliver views, advertisers have to wonder what the impact of these views are.
