The Associated Press – Mobile News

by Aanarav Sareen on September 14, 2009

While producing Traditional Media in Transition, one of my favorite stories was about the Associated Press. In the first episode, we explored how they were using online video. Today, we published another episode and it shows AP’s mobile platform.

The AP also sent out a news release indicating that 30 daily newspapers from McClatchy will be available on AP Mobile.

The McClatchy Company announced today that all 30 of its daily newspapers have joined The Associated Press mobile news network.

Two McClatchy newspapers — The Miami Herald and The Sacramento Bee — joined AP Mobile in 2008. McClatchy’s Spanish-language paper El Nuevo Herald, based in Miami, was also the first Spanish-language paper to be featured on the U.S.-Spanish section of AP Mobile.
